Emirates SkyCargo Announces Backlog Clearance as DXB Gets Back on its Feet..

In a recent customer update, Emirates SkyCargo confirmed that it has successfully managed to address the vast majority of the backlog resulting from the flash floods. The airline, which serves as a vital link in global trade networks, has restored scheduled operations and has begun lifting special cargo restrictions.

“After the adverse weather in Dubai last week, Emirates SkyCargo can confirm that we have now cleared the vast majority of the backlogged cargo and resumed scheduled operations,” stated the airline in its update. “With operations restored, we have lifted some of the restrictions on special cargo, and customers are encouraged to reach out to their local Emirates SkyCargo office for the latest updates.”

The statement also expressed gratitude to customers for their patience and understanding amidst the disruptions caused by the natural calamity.

While operations gradually resumed in the days following the deluge, the airport and its associated logistics infrastructure faced challenges as water inundated various areas, affecting access roads and cargo handling facilities.
